My experience purchasing a vehicle at Kensington Auto Sales was ideal. I found they had a very low-mileage '04 Mazda 3i through various online resources and decided to swing by for a test drive. Their inventory is kept inside, away from the elements, and the cars literally gleam with expert detailing. After driving the car, I noted that there was some clipping with the brakes, which initially was explained to me as a product of some rotor rust buildup that should alleviate itself. I was a bit quizzical, but I decided to put a deposit down. I had a good feeling about the dealer, and felt assured that I could find a car to suit my needs within the 30 days that the deposit could be applied to the purchase of a different vehicle. What came next really sets KAS apart from other used car dealers.
We just purchase a 2008 Ford Escape over the weekend for our daughter. We have been looking at cars for the past year. We wanted something with safe, low miles, no major damage, 4-wheel drive and reasonable priced. After a very long year of searching and researching, we found this beautiful car at Kensington. My husband went and test drove it on Friday and was so pleased we went back on Saturday morning (Rick made a special Saturday appointment for us) and bought it. The car was even better than the pictures. My daughter is so happy. Rick was amazing. He was a thoughtful, respectful and knowledgeable. I kind of wish I had another car to buy because Kensington would definitely be my first stop. Thank you for everything!!
Great used car dealership. No pushy salesman, everything is up front. All cars are inside and customers are welcome to browse, ask questions, inspect the vehicles at their leisure. Every one who works at KAS is curtious and knowledgeable. We have purchased two cars from KAS in the past two years, no problems.
When I returned with my financing check the following week, the co-owner Henry told me that he had taken the Mazda out for a drive and felt that the brake issue needed addressing before he felt comfortable selling the car. They subsequently had the rear rotors replaced. That was such a great surprise; it made me feel extremely confident in closing the deal. The evening that I purchased the car, I found that the turn-signal canceller was not functioning properly. No problem. I called Henry and he promptly ordered a replacement part. About a week later, I brought the car in and Henry replaced the turn signal / headlight component in about 10 minutes. I was incredibly pleased with how the whole process played out, and I'm now the proud owner of my own vehicle for the first time. Thanks to KAS for making that happen!
Car restoration business. Not a real dealer. Making a car "pretty" does not increase it's value beyond it's age and functionality. Most cars run but are selling at "firm" prices way over market price
First we bought a 2007 Toyota Matrix from Kensington Auto and that experience was so pleasent, so easy and so personable, we went back a month later and purchased a 2006 Miata. I can't say enough good things about Rick and Henry. They are helpful. Not pushy, and a pleasure to do business with. I have a completely different opinion of buying and owning a used car now that I've been to Kensington Auto. All the cars we looked at were in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. If you are looking for a used car dealership - look no further!
